Refund policy

We want you to love the atmosphere you bring into your space. If something is not quite right, we are here to help.
1. 30 Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it. It must be unused and in its original packaging.

Candles The wick must be unlit and the wax unburnt.

Wax Melts The packaging must be unopened and no cubes melted.

Diffusers The seal must be intact and reeds unused. Once reeds have been dipped into the oil, the product is considered used and cannot be returned.
To start a return, email us at hello@thehighlandalchemists.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
2. Damages and Issues
We take great care in crafting and packing your order, but glass is fragile and the post can be rough. Please inspect your order upon reception. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, contact us immediately (within 48 hours is best) so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please include photos of the damaged product and the packaging in your email.
3. Scent Preference
We understand that scent is subjective. If you receive a product and decide the fragrance is not for you, you are welcome to return it for a refund provided it meets the condition criteria above. However, please note

You are responsible for paying the return shipping costs.

Shipping costs are non refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of the original shipping will be deducted from your refund.
4. Exceptions and Non Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including

Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items).

White Label or Wholesale orders (unless defective).

Sale items.

Gift cards.
5. UK & EU Cooling Off Period
If you are a customer in the UK or the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
7. Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
